Hydrotherapy


Hydrotherapy is a form of treatment and exercise that is conducted in a heated pool with instruction by a Physiotherapist. It combines the use of  hot water and a buoyancy to aid in muscle relaxation and minimise joint compression, which allows mobility and strengthening exercises to be conducted against the resistance of water.

Hydrotherapy is mainly used for;

  • Aid in muscle relaxation

  • Post operative rehabilitation of arthroscopy, joint replacements and spinal surgery

  • Back pain

  • Arthritis

  • Sports injuries

  • Decreased mobility
